The ending of a school year is always a good/bad thing for me. It's good that I've had such an incredible class to work with, and such good parents. I received numerous thoughtful gifts for teacher appreciation last week, and I am touched by them all. Thank you so much! It has been a pleasure to work with your children! The "bad" part in that good/bad scenario is where I have to tell them goodbye at the end of this week. I am proud to send such accomplished students on to my colleagues in middle school, but I will be sad to see them leave. I would truly work with this class again another year, as I have loved them all! Each of your children has acquired the skills to go on and be a success in middle school, and one day perhaps I will be able to attend their high school graduation! I am so thankful that I have had this class. Thank you, each of my parents for allowing me to work with your children!
Also, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all the mothers and grandmothers who have touched my life and that of my children (my classroom children). You do a wonderful and truly important job!
