As I write this morning, I hear birds singing and I'm hoping it's the official return of Spring! We've all been anxious for the season to change, and now we will enjoy our time outside even more! This week will be busy, and we have tests scheduled, and the Academic Bowl, which means school will dismiss at 11:30 on Wednesday. Please have your child there every day, so they don't miss out. We have two months of fourth grade left, and a lot left to do! This very large construction is going on behind our office area at school. I've been trying to keep pictures current. We have recently relocated our office staff, and they are now in the fourth grade hallway! Mr. Johnson is my neighbor! The former front doors are now locked, and entrance is from the hallway nearest the Zephyr. When you come to conferences, check out the changes! Hope to see you Tuesday. We have our playground back! Somehow it looks smaller with a large building sitting back there! We will be heading into fourth quarter THIS WEEK! It's the home stretch! This last little bit of fourth grade becomes both busy and fun. It's the time when we'll begin to look at field trip dates, and other fun times, but we are also working toward finishing the skills lessons we have for the year. As always, contact me anytime you have questions. Thank you for letting me work with your child. I'm just going to guess that we're all getting a little tired of winter! This week we're expecting some better weather and we'll be outside for recess. While we are inside, we are going to be continuing our lessons, but with a lot more review. It's difficult to have so many interruptions to our work, and still remember what we've covered before. It's been a year for the record books, for sure, and while we've been enduring winter--the school year is getting ready for the final quarter! There may be some additional homework due to the necessity of reviewing and renewing what we've possibly forgotten over the time we've been trying to keep warm and safe in the bad weather. There will be fun activities coming up as well. Please have your child at school every day to keep up with work. Thank you for all your support! |
