Someone is ready for the holidays!
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! So far we have seen two snows already, and more winter weather is predicted this week! Not to worry, we have so much to do yet before we take our break at Christmas time! I'm planning a surprise for the day before we are dismissed, and I may need some help! Full speed ahead through December!!

I was surprised to have snow over the weekend! I'd heard the weather, but still it seems early. Not sure I remember a deer season snow before. I'm looking forward to the warm up that's supposed to make it more pleasant later this week. It will be a shorter week, but we have plenty to do anyway! Our tests will be the end of this week, and we'll be beginning chapter 5 in both math and Missouri History. I hope everyone has had a safe and enjoyable break. See you tomorrow! November is exciting! We have some days off this month--including Monday, November 17, and of course, we have Thanksgiving weekend to look forward to! Those temperatures are changing, so please make sure your child is dressed warmly for outside days when the sun is pretty, but the air is cold. Tomorrow we have a test in Missouri History. This test is over Chapter 3, and it's open book, plus the students are allowed to bring it home if they choose. That means you can help them if they need assistance. It's a good idea to check and see what we study about Missouri. We will be testing on our math Chapter 4 this week, and starting a new reading unit. It seems there's always a lot to do, so students can fall behind quickly if they miss school. If your child is sick, I understand, but if you can pick up the work they are missing, that will help them stay caught up if they have to be out of school. I hear rumors of snow in the forecast for the next week. How exciting! Everyone have a great week. It's hard to believe that a quarter of the school year is over! Our first party day has passed, and our first Parent/Teacher conference day is upon us. With it has come colder temperatures, and shorter days! I guess that's all normal, it just seems to happen so much more quickly, the older I get. I thought Friday/Halloween observances went very well. I am anxious to speak with all of you on conference day, and hope that you can make it. I have wonderful children in my class this year, and I am excited to be their teacher! I look for us to continue to have a great school year. |
