We will return to school on Thursday, January 2, and will resume the activities of our fourth grade year. Please believe me when I tell you that it has been my pleasure and my honor to work with your children. As I enjoy the coming holidays with my family, I will be wishing love and happiness to all of yours. Again, I wish you all a very, truly, special and Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas! I feel humbled by all the generous, thoughtful, and kind gifts I received from my students on our last day of school. It's already been a nice Christmas season for me, and I want to wish the families of my students a wonderful and truly memorable Christmas!

I am expecting to be back at school on Monday! It appears that the weather will finally return to a more normal pattern for this time of year, and we can resume our work. I hope everyone has enjoyed this unexpected time at home, but it's not the end of school yet! I have no information on the Christmas Concert, or any other events. We will begin working on the next scheduled unit, and continue where we left off. I still plan to tutor on Tuesday, and Thursday, as well, should any of my students wish to stay. We will be having the Christmas party for our classroom on Thursday afternoon at 1:30. If you wish to attend, you are welcome, and if you wish to take your student home with you from the party, you may sign them out with me in the classroom. As for the gift exchange, boys are to bring a gift for a boy, and girls are to bring a gift for a girl. The exchange is random, so students should bring something that they would like to receive. We have told the students that $5-$10 is a suitable range for a gift. But we do not check the prices, so just keep in mind that if your child would like the gift, then most likely the person who gets the gift will like it also. We want the students to enjoy their last elementary Christmas party! As for treats, anything that you would like to send will be appreciated. We are going with the traditional party, and we do request commercially wrapped goodies. Your child will have ideas, as we will discuss this in class. I'm looking forward to being back! I hope Thanksgiving was great for all! Somehow it is already December--that busy month when so much is scheduled, and there's a lot to get done. We will be continuing work, while planning a Christmas concert, parties, and other events. Please watch here, and in notes that your child will bring home to be updated on events for the month. Hard to believe that we're three weeks from the mid year break! Contact me if you have any questions! |
