These penguins had the best place in the zoo! It was a pleasant 60* or so in their quarters! When it's 60* outside, we're pretty chilly---but when it's over 90* at the zoo, it feels pretty good! Speaking of good, I sure hope each of you are having a good summer!!!!

I figure it's time for another zoo picture, as promised. There weren't many animals out stirring around in the heat, but this nice, big tiger circled his quarters a few times for us. I even got a tiny video of it, because I don't know how to work my camera that well. I still love technology, though! Enjoy your day!!!! Had dinner this evening with these two wonderful young men. You know Tim, and the one on the left is his brother, Mark! Such good company! You didn't get to meet Mark this year, but I wish you had! He is such a nice man, and so funny. He will be leaving soon to go join a ship that is going to be on deployment, so maybe next year's class will send him letters. I like this idea! I hope summer is being good to everyone. I had to make a trip to St. Louis, so I stopped in to see my favorite zoo animal! I saw some others, too, but I had to visit the giraffes! I sure wish I could have one in the woods out here where I live! They are so graceful and majestic looking, I think it would be incredible to look out my windows, or be outside with tiny dog, and see a giraffe grazing the tree tops! I'm sure it wouldn't be allowed, and I wouldn't know how you'd keep one where it's supposed to be, anyway, but I sure do like them! I've decided to go to the zoo again on a cool day! I've only been when it was hot, and the animals don't feel much like being out. I can't blame them, it was really hot when I went yesterday! Watch for more pictures/news and I hope that you're having a great summer! Hi! I hope everyone is having a good summer break! I posted on Spartacus's latest play time. He's really growing. Be safe, and enjoy your summer.
