Our next class party will be on Friday, Feb. 12th at 10:00. Please send in treats for the students, and valentines made out for each of the students. That is a half day, as well, for teacher workshops. Anyone else ready for spring?
It's hard to believe that January is already passed! Soon we'll be looking at the end of the school year. For now, we'll be looking at fractions, physical and chemical changes in science, and My Brother Martin. It's test week for our ELA material. Students need to be studying those spelling words!

This was pretty much me over the snow break--if that were a robe over pajamas! We're hopefully back to school for the rest of the year now, and back to work. We have been learning division, and it's not an easy skill for fourth grade, so please help your child some at home. Some of my students are still struggling with the multiplication facts, and that will continue to be a problem as we move through our math skills. We are going to begin working with fractions as we complete division, so again, multiplication will be needed. Our next party will be for Valentine's Day, and that will be on the 12th of February at 10:00. We always ask students to include the entire class when sending cards. I will be sending home a class list so that cards can be addressed. Tutoring continues on Monday and Tuesday afternoons. Thank you for letting your children stay! I am glad to be back at school, although it was great to see these guys over the winter break! It's right back to work for us, and the past week was a little hard to jump back into--but we did! We have a full week ahead of us. There will be computer lab added to our weekly routine for awhile. We have our unit tests coming up this week, and it is COLD outside! Yikes! No tutoring on Monday this week---I have a meeting. Then it's back to normal routine! |
AuthorI am Mrs. Jackson. I have been teaching fourth grade for many years now, and I love teaching! I am excited to work with your children, and hopeful that we will be working as a team to promote a successful year in fourth grade. Me in 4th grade.
