This has been my view for the last three weeks and I am now ready to move on into Spring, and the things we still have to do this school year. We will be having a label party on Thursday of this week--March 12th. Our tests for reading and spelling and grammar will also be this week. As I become aware of changes to our schedule, I will keep you posted. Tutoring will continue through April.

We are into third quarter now! It seems the year is moving very quickly! Your child may have more homework in this part of the school year, so please help them remember to finish their work. Tutoring continues to be on Monday and Tuesday afternoons, but the time has changed. Students will now work on skills from 3:00 until 4:00 after school, so please note the change. Any time I can help you with anything concerning your child and their fourth grade year, please feel free to contact me! It is our final week of 2014 school! I'm always excited this time of year, and it will be a fun week! We will be planning our 4th grade breakfast party for the 19th. If you can help, or can send in a breakfast/party food, or juice, or anything, please let me know! You can email me, or if you can send something in, please just send it. We will be having our breakfast party at 8:00 that morning. I hope that all of my fourth grade families have a wonderful Christmas!!!!!!!!!!! It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! So far we have seen two snows already, and more winter weather is predicted this week! Not to worry, we have so much to do yet before we take our break at Christmas time! I'm planning a surprise for the day before we are dismissed, and I may need some help! Full speed ahead through December!! Someone is ready for the holidays! I was surprised to have snow over the weekend! I'd heard the weather, but still it seems early. Not sure I remember a deer season snow before. I'm looking forward to the warm up that's supposed to make it more pleasant later this week. It will be a shorter week, but we have plenty to do anyway! Our tests will be the end of this week, and we'll be beginning chapter 5 in both math and Missouri History. I hope everyone has had a safe and enjoyable break. See you tomorrow! November is exciting! We have some days off this month--including Monday, November 17, and of course, we have Thanksgiving weekend to look forward to! Those temperatures are changing, so please make sure your child is dressed warmly for outside days when the sun is pretty, but the air is cold. Tomorrow we have a test in Missouri History. This test is over Chapter 3, and it's open book, plus the students are allowed to bring it home if they choose. That means you can help them if they need assistance. It's a good idea to check and see what we study about Missouri. We will be testing on our math Chapter 4 this week, and starting a new reading unit. It seems there's always a lot to do, so students can fall behind quickly if they miss school. If your child is sick, I understand, but if you can pick up the work they are missing, that will help them stay caught up if they have to be out of school. I hear rumors of snow in the forecast for the next week. How exciting! Everyone have a great week. |
